“For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.”
In a world that glorifies hustle, image, and physical perfection, this verse gently shifts our perspective.
Yes—taking care of your body matters. God created it. It’s the temple. Working out, eating right, and staying active are all valuable. But Paul reminds us here that godliness has eternal value—not just for now, but forever.
Training your spirit to seek God, trust Him, and reflect His character builds strength that won’t fade with age or life’s wear and tear. Godliness is the kind of strength that shows up in storms, in silence, in stillness—and holds firm.
So this week, as you meal prep, jog, stretch, or sip your water—remember to make space for your soul too.

Because what you feed the spirit will always outlast what you feed the flesh.
🔥 Challenge:
Spend at least 10 minutes daily this week in spiritual “training” — whether it’s journaling, reading a devotional, memorizing a verse, or sitting in quiet prayer.
Your body gets stronger when you train it.
So does your spirit.
